Why We Built RevenueFlo

In-app Subscription Discount

Who am I to build this?

For over a decade, I’ve lived in the trenches of the iOS ecosystem. As a developer building consumer apps, I’ve spent thousands of hours collaborating with marketing teams. Together, we’ve chased the same dream: sustainable, scalable subscription revenue.

But time and again, I saw a recurring pattern. The marketing team would have a brilliant idea for a campaign, such as a Reddit outreach, Black Friday, Holiday, or New Year sale, or even a churn recovery sequence. Unfortunately, those ideas would often die a slow death in the development backlog.

I built RevenueFlo because I believe a great marketing idea shouldn't have to wait weeks for a developer to be free or for Apple to approve a new version of your app. You should be able to launch a sale or a special offer the moment you think of it, without the technical headaches.

The Challenge: The Technical Bottleneck of Growth

The Technical Bottleneck of Growth

In the App Store ecosystem, growth is an iterative game. To move the needle, you need to test analytics, in-app surveys, and discount pop-ups constantly. but the current process is plagued by three major roadblocks:

  • Total Dev Dependency: Marketing teams can’t move fast. Whether it's setting up discount pop-ups, surveys, or analytics, every marketing task requires a developer’s time.

  • The "Black Box" of App Store Connect: The platform is built for engineers, not marketers. Non-technical teams struggle to manage offers and data without constant technical support.

  • The App Store Review Trap: Most changes require a full app update. Between coding and the fragile App Store review process, you can’t execute real-time marketing. By the time your update is approved, the opportunity is gone.

The Missing Opportunity: The 13% Reality

The industry average conversion rate for subscription apps hovers around 5-10%. That means 90% of your users stay free forever. We know that not everyone values software at the same price point. To capture that missing 90%, you have to identify price sensitivity and offer the right deal at the right time.

Offer Codes are the ultimate lever for this, yet a recent report showed that only 13% of apps across all categories actually use them.

Why? Because implementing them is a manual, frustrating, and invisible process.

The Marketing Hassle: Losing Users to Friction

If you’ve ever tried to run a discount campaign on Reddit or social media, you know the pain:

  • Manual Chaos: You have to manually DM or email individual codes to every interested user.

  • Instruction Overload: You have to send a how-to guide just to help them redeem it.

  • High Drop-off: Many genuine users simply ignore the offer because the process is too frustrating.

  • Zero Visibility: You have no way to track who actually claimed the code, leaving you in the dark about what’s working.

We were losing genuine, high-intent users simply because the redemption process was too frustrating.

On top of that, managing different segments was impossible. Which offer is performing? Which one should we pause? App Store Connect gives you zero visibility into these real-time metrics. Most teams simply give up and leave that gold mine of revenue on the table.

Our Approach

We didn't just want to make another dashboard, we wanted to bridge the gap between marketing strategy and technical execution. RevenueFlo is built to turn subscription discounts into a one-click reality.

  • One-Click Offer Links: No more instruction manuals. Send a link like offers.revenueflo.com/oG6gzk and let users redeem instantly with zero friction.

  • In-App Claims: Integrate our SDK once with just a few lines of code, and your app is ready to handle any future offer you dream up.

  • Zero App Updates: Create, manage, pause, or resume offers from the RevenueFlo dashboard. Your marketing team can pivot in seconds without waiting for a developer or a 24-hour Apple review.

  • Real-Time Analytics: Finally, see which campaigns are actually converting. Track performance and optimize your pricing strategy based on hard data, not guesswork.

Stop Leaving Revenue on the Table

Subscription offers are the most powerful tool for reducing friction at the point of conversion. We built RevenueFlo so you can finally stop managing spreadsheets and start growing your bottom line.

It takes just 15 minutes to set up your first one-click discount link. Give it a try and see the difference in your conversion rates.
